Dr. Susan Langmore developed the Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedure in 1988. Since then, FEES has become an internationally recognized gold standard for dysphagia evaluation and management.
Tampere University Hospital together with Finnish association for dysphagia rehabilitation have the pleasure to host Dr. Langmore and her colleague MS Trish Cavanagh to train clinicians in the FEES procedure.
We provide foundation FEES courses that are open to any SLP or MD who wants to learn the fundamentals of FEES. The first two days entail 13 hours of lecture. The third day comprises 4 hours of hands on practice in rotating mentored small groups (availability limited to 30 persons.)
The 1-day advanced FEES course is designed for clinicians who have had at least 6 months of practice using FEES. This course offers mentored interpretation and scoring practice with various patient populations
